7-5-01 fireworks The fireworks display was very impressive - both minutes of it. I went to see the display at the Great Mall of the Great Plains, sponsored by local radio station Star 102. It started off wonderfully, but worried many watching, as many of the fireworks went off lower than expected. They also set off a great deal more early-on than we had expected. Later we found out why: apparently they blew up their trailer. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and the flames were put out quickly by the nearby fire station. But this rant is two-fold. I also speak of the program Fireworks by Macromedia, which is what I use to make Reset. I have discovered some of its unique features, and have applied them to the best of my ability. Today's strip, although simple, illustrates my new-found uses for Fireworks' border-making abilities. Don't really like today's strip, eh? Well, I know it's not funny. It's not supposed to be. Just supposed to give you a little background into how we came by the Game Jenny®, the generic video game enhancer that allows us to enter and exit games. Our original idea was to have this as a hand-drawn strip, but I haven't seen Remmie in 10 days, and haven't drawn anything myself in at least as long. Good things are in store for you, Reset fans! Some more really cool ideas are coming, not to mention some more off-the-wall humor. And, hopefully, I will gain my confidence in drawing once more and be able to do a strip or two like I want. Have any ideas, or games you would like to see us in? Let me know! I am open to suggestions. Hey, Jon! Thanks for the crossover! It was fun! Let's do it again sometime! For those of you who missed it, Reset and Save Point did crossover strips on the 3rd. Check them out sometime! ~TDC, who wrote this rant in 60 seconds. PS - you know I love feedback. Email me! 7-6-01 busy as can be As you can see, I made a ring for sprite-based online comics. :) Right now, only Reset and Save Point are involved, but hopefully it will grow with time. Also, opening several cafe press stores tonight for the shirts I designed yesterday. Should have a page designed for those by Saturday. Also, just got a copy of Electronic Gaming monthly. Cool stuff is coming for gamers everywhere! The X-Box and Game Cube are releasing within 3 days of each other!!! ^_^ Plenty more to chat about there. One last thing - I picked up a strategy guide for FF: Chronicles today, and found out that FF4 is hard-type. ^_~ Way cool. Now leave me alone, I'm busy. :D ~TDC, who is really playing video games, and just wants everyone to think he's doing something useful. PS - you know I love feedback. Email me! |
