8-14-01 the gloves Today's strip is ground-breaking in many ways. First, it is the first strip to show a hand-drawn element by me. Of course, it was adapted beyond recognition after being scanned, but that's really beside the point. I just can't seem to get my characters to look right... Anyway, the second is the fact that this is the first animated strip here at Reset. I've often considered doing an animated strip, but didn't really see the necessity until today. I had to get a lot of information out there to make sense of the upcoming storyline, and this was the best way to get across a lot of information quickly. Love it? Hate it? Let me know! The gloves themselves are an idea I had early-on when discussing Reset with a friend of mine. The idea is simply this: by placing your hands one over the other, with the middle finger toward the opposite wrist, palms together, you can type just like using an ergonomic (split) keyboard. Pretty sweet, eh? And since Jenny is a video game enhancer, I can use those keyboards to reprogram her inside the games! This means... Well, a great many things, which you will see. ^_~ Wouldn't want to spoil the surprise, neh? I'd be glad to see someone market this idea. Just don't forget: it's my idea. You've gotta pay me royalties. :) As far as everything else in the strip is concerned: don't worry, you'll see Tempest again very soon. He is the bad guy, after all. And maybe you'll find out how he got to be so powerful... Those of you who have already guessed, don't spoil the secret for the others. ;) About the rest of Reset: I'll redo the t-shirts, most of the images, and most probably the site design once I have access to the computers at my college. They have much more powerful programs (like Illustrator and Photoshop) as well as a faster connection, so I'll be able to make those changes much more effectively than I can from my little comp at home. I think that's it for now. Oh, if you have any comments or suggestions and don't want to email me, then feel free to visit resetforums.
