whelk

(keeping this up for those of you who missed it: uploaded the first fanart, which comes to us courtesy of Mog1983. Enjoy it!)

Lately I've had this fascination with a "Got Milk?" parody. I realized that the first boss of FF6 has gone widely unrecognized, and its name makes it perfect for a little fun and games. So meet Sam, our official SpokesWhelk™. Having made a handful of banners and buttons (which are showcased on the links page now, btw) I realized that I needed something to justify the fact that there was a snail-like creature on some of them. Oh, and I made some t-shirts too.

You might say I've gone all-out.

So it was only a matter of time before Whelk showed back up in the comic. It hit me today that the whelk is the only boss (that I know of at least) that is controlled by the "good guys" who are only trying to protect their town and the treasure it contains. Interesting how that works, eh? Oh, and for those who are wondering, Gato doesn't count. ;)

We're also starting to see a touch of Jenny's growing personality. Sure, she's just a machine... isn't she? That's just it: I want you to wonder. ^_~

As far as life goes... you really don't care as long as it doesn't affect the comic, right? I thought as much.

Well, with my access at school, making the t-shirts is much, much easier. That means it will be simpler for me to update the old ones, make new ones, etc. Except no one besides me has bought any, so it doesn't really matter, right? :D

Well, I think that's it for now. Have a good weekend.

~TDC, who has a whelk mustache (don't ask)
