11-8-01 *exhausted* First of all, tonight's comic. I plan to stick with the longer comics for a while, perhaps indefinitely. It's just a much more efficient means of making strips. As one person pointed out, I could've done nearly all the Tempest/Cid/chest jokes in one strip. That kind of dragging out is really dragging the comic down. I am moving the storyline faster than I had originally intended. I read through all the old strips today, and realized how slow/boring the comic was lately. So I figure I'll move them faster and make them longer. For those of you who are stuck on dial-up, sorry. The comics are going to stay at nearly double the size they used to be. It's a difficult decision for me to make, and I hope you understand. Before I go any further, let me point something out to you: Reset's numbers (page views, hits, users) were lower in October than September. I think this is mainly due to Reset's stagnation over the last month, and I'm doing what I can to make it fun to read again. But I need you guys to help me. Tell your friends about Reset! Tell everyone you know! Add Reset to your favorites and check back all the time! We need to get things moving again, and the best way to spread news is by word of mouth. I thank you in advance for your help. :) Now I want to turn your attention to Heroes in Training, a hand-drawn comic made by a friend of mine. She has a wonderful talent for drawing, and the storyline is quite unique. It's about RPG University, and the students who attend, trying to avoid being just another NPC... Check it out! And now to explain the rant title. I was up until 2:30 am last night updating/upgrading the backlog. I finally got it all done. I had to change every page from .htm to .html, add the navigation bar/ring at the left as well as the flash bar you see at the right. It's now on every page and you can go forward/back to your heart's content. Warning, though, there were rants before there were comics, so don't be surprised when you hit the "first" button and don't see a strip. Wow, that's a lot of news. I think I'll just leave it at that and get this thing uploaded. l8r d00ds! ~TDC, who hopes to make Reset popular again... |
