TheDarkChristian:

on muggles

So about today's strip...  I know it wasn't funny, but I needed to put in some more foreshadowing for those who aren't as good at guessing ahead.  Hold your horses, the strip's moving along.

I downloaded a huge number of FF4 images today, but have been unsuccessful in procuring backgrounds...  Go to the links page to see where I got the images.  And email me if you happen to find any backgrounds.  Many thanks in advance!

One more thing before I begin to rant: Reset's numbers are still dwindling.  I'd like to see them going up!  So please do what you can to help.  If you like Reset, tell your friends, family - okay, everyone you know - about us!  Thanks again in advance!

On to the rant.  I had something huge mapped out in my head Sunday night, but the batteries in my voice recorder died, so alas, I forgot it.  >.<  Oh well.  I guess I'll just play it by ear, so to speak.

I'm one of those odd people that refuse to watch a movie before reading the book.  I finished reading Harry Potter about five minutes to showtime.  :D  I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and the movie as well.  It's a surprisingly good read, simple though it is.  I nearly cried near the end, when...  Well, unless you've seen/read it, I won't spoil it for you.

I know what you're thinking (some of you, at least): "For God's sake, he's twenty years old!  He's an adult!  What's he doing reading a kids' book?!?"  My response: go read it yourself, then get back to me, you foolish muggle.

I want little more than to play a good game of quidditch...  :D  Great game, that, and well portrayed in the movie.  Oh, the movie also held a surprise or two for those that have read the book, along with cutting a few things out and changing a few others for the sake of time.  Unless my timing was totally off, the movie was 2 1/2 hours, and I felt it was short.  A lot of stuff happens in that first book.

Oh, and foolish me, I missed the fact that the mirror Erised was desire spelled backward until I heard it in the movie.  Then I went back and re-read the inscription.  Duh!  Why didn't I see it before?

Also, hate me though you may, I happen to like Professor Snape.  :p

Now I need to add the rest of the series to my Christmas list...  which has yet to be written...  >.<

Side note: my mother is in the hospital after a fairly routine surgery.  She's doing well, but if you are the type to do so, please pray for her or send some positive energy her way.  She's going to have one tired Thanksgiving.  *chuckle*

edit - my spellcheck program had an interesting time with this particular rant.  ^_~
