4-27-02 Thankful Man, Tails just doesn't know when to quit, does he? And there are surprisingly few robots in Sonic's world so far... In Reset news, I'm revamping the archives, finally taking advantage of the drop-down idea I tried a long time ago. I'm also planning a minor graphical upgrade in the near future. :) Right. So on Thursday's update I mentioned that there was a rant "yesterday" and there would be another "tomorrow". By these two terms, I of course meant "previous update" and "next update". Chock another one up to my warped time sense. Anyway, last Tuesday I mentioned that things were rather rough right now. Ronal of HiT even suggested that people donate to me somehow. *chuckle* People don't even buy my T-shirts, d00d, not that I really blame them. Anyway, I'd just like to point out the silver lining in the rough things that have happened lately. I have to wear gloves while driving my car because I have bad wrists and my car shakes, but at least I have the gloves to wear, my hands may hurt but they still function, and my car still runs. I have no car stereo or A/C but I have headphones, an mp3 player, a cd player, a portable radio, a great heater, and I can roll down the windows. I have to worry about my car falling apart or exploding, but again, at least it runs. I have to decide whether to eat or fill my gas tank. At least I have enough funds for one option. I had to borrow hundreds of dollars from family and friends, but at least they were there when I needed them. I have to bust my ass to make rent and bills and I sell myself for whatever percentage people's whims lead them to, but at least I have a source of income and a place to live. My girlfriend had her car broken into and her stereo and cds stolen, but at least I still have my girlfriend, (who was unharmed, so don't worry,) she still has a car and she could borrow cds and a cd player from me. Sometimes I have to wonder how I'm going to get to work or pay back the money I owe, but at least I have a job. I have to decide now and then what I should sell to come up with money for bills, but at least I have that stuff to sell. It's been a rough week, and a rough life. But there are good sides to it as well, and I think they make up for all the bad stuff. TDC, who really does have a lot to be thankful for |
